I bought this bin for its looks and because the hinges looked more robust than most, it has scored 5 on both of those, if the main shell was 1 or 2mm thicker it would have scored a 5 total. Nice lid lock detail.

This also looks great in our kitchen and is easy to keep clean – it doesn’t seem to attract many marks or finger prints which I thought it may do.
The splitting of refuse into 3 different sections was very useful for us as we need to split prior to collection. The 3 sections also allowed us to use a single section for low volume and 2 sections for higher volume (e.g food waste vs recycling). This bin has probably allowed us to reduce the waste we send to landfill which can only be a good thing.
The foot pedals are very easy to operate and the ability to hold the lid open was useful while doing prolonged chopping or sweeping etc.

This is a significant upgrade on our previous way of collecting recyclable waste in our home! The pedals make it easy to store away the items when hands are full and it stops our dog from accessing the items. The fingerprint resistant quality and the slow close are nice features. I also like that there’s a wee latch so when/if you needs the lids to stay open, this is possible. It fits plastic bags easily but we’ve found it works just as well without them. Only note is that we wish it was a big bigger as we find it needs to be emptied fairly frequently at the moment because it just doesn’t bit that much.. Still, it makes a nice addition to our kitchen.
